Linux: Linux Forum Closing - Discussions Moving to Device Forums

Tool/software: Linux

TI Linux Community,

As Linux spreads across TI in use and popularity as it has and continues to do in the embedded world, more and more TI businesses are leveraging it as a great foundation for system design. As the support for these systems is unique to each application and product it is built into, we want to get discussions and questions in front of the experts on those particular applications and systems. With that goal in mind, we are closing the Linux forum in order to encourage users to post their questions to the most relevant TI product or device forum. For example, if you are using the very popular AM335x ARM Cortex-A8 based SoC and running Linux on it as the software base, then getting your question into the Sitara forum as quickly as possible is the best way for it to get in front of an expert and like-minded community in the appropriate area.

If you are seeking help on a TI device such as an Ethernet Phy or a touchscreen controller and using that in a Linux system, the most appropriate TI forum would be the device forum for that particular device. The Thread Creation Forum has been designed to help you find the correct forum just by entering the device's part number.  However, it should be noted that some of these devices may be supported by drivers that were contributed by the Linux community and may not be directly supported by TI.

This action is a move by TI to provide even better support for this important software offering. We would like to see Linux continue to spread across embedded systems and grow in popularity, especially on TI devices.
