HEVC decoder fatal error - MCSDK video 2.2.0.45

Hi,

A customer reported that our h265vdec_01_00_00_29 works fine with stream having no packet loss. But when they feed the stream with packet loss, the decoder after decoding some x frames with 16 frames of output of size zero, the decoder throws fatal error(code: 0x00008000). Decoder is throwing fatal error whenever total number of frames with zero output equals to 16.

Is there any issue with the decoder error handling ?. Is there any work around ?. Can we reset the decoder after each output of size zero ?.

Hi in order to reproduce the issue I have attached the test stream “airshow_1280x720_ipp_1mb_bk.h265”. It has a IPPPP video sequence with two IDR frames. One at frame 0 and other at frame 32. If we drop the first frame(AU) and feed the remaining frames of the stream to the decoder, the decoder throws the fatal error for the frame no 19.

Hi Guys,

The packet loss is normal condition. If H265 dec has fatal error in this condition, the issue should be fixed. Do you have any update on this?

Don't mind, I didn't encounter the issue above, since we haven't debug decoding function yet. I just want to make sure above issue that met by other person has been fixed or explained, :-)
