What is DMTimer7 used for in SD-card access?

Hi,

the example programs that read/write/use SD-card and FatFS all make use of DMTimer7 (via call to DelayTimerSetup() ). What is this timer used for? Within the CD-card examples I could not find anythin timer-related except this one function call...

    Solved for my own and without the "support" from TI: This timer does nothing more than performing a delay ... seems some things have to settle at this point in code before one can continue.
