AM335x wrong register name?

Hi,

I have one question regarding register name of AM335x.

According to the program of StarterWare, the following registers are difined.

CM_PER_L4FW_CLKCTRL（0x44E00000 + 0x64）

CM_PER_L4FW_CLKSTCTRL（0x44E00000 + 0x8）

CM_PER_EMIF_FW_CLKCTRL（0x44E00000 + 0xd0）

EMIF_DDR_PHY_CTRL_2（0x4C000000 + 0xEC

The above registers is not found in the latest TRM(SPRUH73K). But I can find three of four registers in old TRM(SPRUH73h).

However I could not find "EMIF_DDR_PHY_CTRL_2" in any revision PRM.

Where can I find this register's description? Please advise me.

Hi Michi,
CM_PER_L4FW_CLKCTRL ,CM_PER_L4FW_CLKSTCTRL,CM_PER_EMIF_FW_CLKCTRL registers are not applicable to GP devices and EMIF_DDR_PHY_CTRL_2 is reserved. They were removed from AM335x because they do not affect its operation.

The StarterWare code will be updated to reflect this.

Hi Sandhya-san,

The registers mentioned here can be found in the StarterWare v02.00.01.01.

\AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01\include\hw\hw_cm_per.h
\AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01\include\hw\hw_emif4d.h

These registers are configured in the initialization code.

\AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01\bootloader\src\armv7a\am335x\bl_platform.c

Should these registers configurations in the initialization code be removed or left?

DDR_PHY_CTRL_2 is similar to the DDR_PHY_CTRL_1. Only relevant configuration seems to be the last 4 bits in the register that configures the READ latency in terms of cycles. You can program the same value programmed in DDR_PHY_CTRL_1 into that register for normal operation.
