Pinmux file for AM437x IDK?

Hi all,

Is there any way to get my hands on the raw pinmux file for the AM437x IDK dev board? The closest I find is at \sdk\starterware\board\am43xx, but this only has the output .c and .h files. Any way to get the raw pinmux file so I can start from a known board?

Hi Brian,

Use the PinMuxTool at this link http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI_PinMux_Tool

It will help you configure the pins easily.

Check schematics and choose the pins/Signals appropriately.

If you find sdk\starterware\tools\pinmux_config\am43xx\idkevm_config feed it as input for the tool, you will be able to see the signal to Pin Map already selected for most of the modules.

you can modify the mapping as per your board design and save the file.and generate the new pin mux .c file.

Ahh, I had searched for "*.pinmux," which explains why these were missed. Hmm, there are a bunch of modules missing from the mapping (e.g.: EMIF, MII_PRUSS1, EnDat pins), but it looks like this was the file I was looking for.

Hi,

is clear why some modules are missing when sdk\starterware\tools\pinmux_config\am43xx\idkevm_config file is open?
Is any possible way to get complete / identical pinmux.c file form config file? (for IDK AM 437x)

I wish to have config file where I can modify just some pins and other configuration kept as it is.

Can you reproduced issue with loading pinmux config. in Pinmux app?
If Yes... is any new information what is going on and how to fix this issue?

A lot of the pins on the IDK board are used more than once. Some pins for motor control are also used in the camera module for example. It is up to you to mux the pins in the mode you require. The provided pinmux config is the base to start with. From there you'll need to follow the the C file to match the SDK or you'll need to follow the schematic for any other functionality.
