A customer is asking for suggestions.

They are using Sitara, AM3356 with BBB.

“We are stuck at 1st bootloader, the Public ROM bootup, couldn’t get it working. We tried several things, taking reference from Beagle bone black and reading through engineering forums,

1. We edited GEL files, generated MLO files and U-Boot.

2. We tried the peripheral boot up UART Boot and send the MLO file (Processor just received it, not executing it) – Failed.

3. We connected using JTAG and tried using software leveling of the DDR – Failed”

Hi CCLee,

Please provide more details on the problem:

- Are they trying to do UART boot for BBB using the instructions here?

- Did they generate their u-boot-spl.bin and u-boot.img from the SDK from here?

- Why are they editing the GEL file?

If you need to get BBB UART boot working with the SDK generated images, we can show you how to do this.

I will ask the customer to post reply directly to this thread.

Looks like they are booting thier board and are using a DDR memory different than what's on BBB.
