Beaglebone black gpioLEDBlink build error

Hello,

I'm having beaglebone black board and using ccs 6.1. I'm imported gpioLEDBlink program from: C:\ti\AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01\build\armv7a\cgt_ccs\am335x\beaglebone\gpio. I've also imported drivers, platform, system and utils. The compiler version used is TI v5.2.5 and in Manage Configuration Release is set Active.

In include options the following path is set:

The file Search Path is set to this:

I'm getting the following error when I try to build:

Praveen,

If you disable the step mkhex4bin in the project properties Build > Steps, are you able to build it?

Just trying to isolate the issue. Thanks.

The program is has been build but when I'm trying to debug, I'm getting the following error:
Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
One of the FTDI driver functions used during
the connect returned bad status or an error.
The cause may be one or more of: invalid XDS100 serial number,
blank XDS100 EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.
Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'
folder to verify the XDS100 can be located.

Praveen,

I assume you have a JTAG header soldered on P2 and using a XDS100v2 connected to that header?

If so, please ensure you are booting as in 19:18 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOQisBaDANA

Hello Lalindra Jayatilleke,

Sorry for the late response. I'm using the usb to beaglebone connector that came in with the beaglebone black in the box to connect beaglebone to my system. The P2 header is not soldered. What all other things do I require to debug the beaglebone from CCS 6.1.

Praveen,

You need a header on P2 like this one http://www.newark.com/harwin/m52-040000s1045/header-vertical-2row-20way/dp/97K6310 and a debugger such as http://www.blackhawk-dsp.com/products/USB100v2ARM.aspx
