CAN implementation on AM335x

Hi 

I want to implement DCAN on my AM335x ICE board.
For this i am using AM335X_StarterWare_02_00_01_01.

In this folder we have binary files of dcanTxRx and dcanLpBk.
I have used dcanTxRx.out and programmed it into my processor along with bootloader.

Just some questions i want to ask:-

1. As we program this binary file into the processor it will enable the dcan driver along with it ??

2. After programming, i connected it to a CANalyzer using DB9 connector. Now what should be my next step so as to transmit the CAN frame ??

I have gone through the user guide of starterware where they have mentioned:-

I am a bit confused in these steps. 

Can someone please clarify as how to connect and send frames ?

can i use teraterm as my serial communication console ?
