IPC for F28M36 in RTOS

Hello all,

Does TI RTOS release their IPC driver for f28m36 yet? If not, can we still use RTOS for 28m36? Is there any other way to get the two core communicate?

I can only see the f28m35 support in the sdo/ipc package now.

The f28m36 devices are supported along with the f28m35 devices. Even though the package says f28m35, it supports the f28m36 also cause they use the same IPC mechanism.

I see Judan, thanks. I just successfully tested the demo program. Now I wonder one more thing. I used to copy the time critical runtime C28x functions into RAM when using non-bios. How can I do that in RTOS? Is there any instruction document?

Hao,

Sorry, I forgot to respond to your last questions there.

I believe you can achieve this in your linker command file by placing the sections with the "LOAD" and "RUN" directives. What this does is, the code will be loaded into the LOAD memory segment but make any reference in your code to the RUN memory segment and excecute from there. You must copy the code yourself. It does not automatically do this for you.

For example:

SECTIONS {
.myfunction: LOAD = FLASHA PAGE = 0,
RUN = D01SARAM PAGE = 0
}

There might be an option to have the linker copy the code for you but I'm not sure.
