Hi,

For the last week I am facing the following problem :

Everytime I try to open the app.cfg file (TI-RTOS configuration script) with XGCONF, I get an empty view as in the next screenshot :

So the view is empty (which is not normal).

Once I try to close this "empty" tab, I get the following error :

Does any of you have this issue ?
I am currently running CCS 6.0.1.00039, but I tried the 6.1 update and nothing changed.

I also completely re-installted CCS, but the problem is still there.

Finally, where are the error logs to find more details about this problem ?

There are two good sources of additional info. The first one is debug console that will open if you start CCS with '-console -debug' options. You can edit your shortcut so that the field Target looks like this: C:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\ccstudio.exe -console -debug. Then, when an exception happens, post the content of that console. Additionally, look at the directory .metadata in your workspace. There is a file .log in there. Please copy and post the part of that file that is added by the CCS session when an exception happens.

Here is the logs (error logs) generated by doing the manipulation described (open app.cgf in XGCONF and close the tab) : 7144.error_log.log

Thanks for your answer.

I tried your proposal, and in fact the CCS preferences were "empty", i.e nothing was selected.

I selected the configuration matching my project, but nothing changed and the problem is still here.

I restarted CCS just to be sure that the settings were applied, but it didn't change anything.

Any other suggestion ?

Do you have an idea why this error appeared all of a sudden (CCS update?)? I didn't have it until a few months ago...

Your mix of XDCtools 3.31 and CCS 6.0.1 is incompatible and the chances are that your update to CCS 6.1 did not install everything that's needed. I would recommend a clean install of CCS 6.1, and then you can use XDCtools 3.31 there, or a clean install of CCS 6.0.1 and then you have to keep using XDCtools 3.30.

The clean install of CCS 6.1 solve the issue.

But I am still concerned about the fact that even the update from CCS 6.0.1 -> 6.1 didn't work (installation failed at some point).
