I have a fairly large application running on an OMAPL138. I am attempting to use RTOS Object Viewer to figure out an occasional unexpected increase in DSP latency. Whenever I start ROV I get the message
"Received exception from ROV server. Target memory read failed at address 0xc54886d8, length : 76
This read is at an INVALID address according to the applications's section map. The application is likely either uninitialized or corrupt."
I receive this message for almost ALL of the viewable modules. The address changes, but the exception is the same.
The thing is that all of the memory accesses are in valid memory. So this error message is likely caused by some more fundamental error, perhaps in my project configuration. What could cause this? The application builds, loads, debugs, and runs fine otherwise. What does the ROV use to determine the memory map?
I am using CCS version 6.1.3.00034 and XDC tools 3.31.3.43.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
