Production installation of OS into NAND flash

TI or Adeneo,

AM1808, WinCE 6.0 v1.10

Is there a way to install the WinCE OS into NAND flash without using Visual Studio and Platform Builder through EMAC?

I tried using the EBOOT setting “Write Download RAM NK to flash” when booting from the SD Card instead of from PB.  This didn’t write to NAND flash.

I enabled the NAND file system to see if storing the OS as a file would do the trick, but it appears that the file system space is separate from the OS storage space in NAND flash.

Our design requires the OS to be in NAND flash.  Right now the only way I know to install the OS in a production setting is to use PB.

Is there any better way to accomplish this task?

Regards,

Nelson

    Hi Nelson,

The better option I can think of is flashing from SD  Card.

    Check the following URL: http://cedownloader.sourceforge.net/

Still it needs a Host PC and Ethernet Cable, but PB can be excluded.

    GSR,

That works perfectly.  Thank you very much.
