    Hi, All

I have make WL1271 WiFi running well on our DM3730 Board with WinCE 6.0 OS, but Now we want to make it supports Windows Embedded Compact 7.

As we all know, WinCE 6.0 works with wireless zero configuration, but Windows Embedded Compact works with Native wifi architecture, they are different a lot.

Would someone here help me to solve this problem?

    Thanks a lot....

    Best Regards,

    Stephen Zhang

My advice would be stay with CE6 ...unless you have some compelling reason to move to WEC7. Like you need a Silverlight UI or absolutely need ARM7 support. Be prepared for lots of frustration … and much bigger images sizes.

    Hi, David Vescovi

    Thanks for your reply.

In fact, I need Silverlight UI ,ARMV7 support and RemoteFX support.

Would you help me to move wifi to WEC7?

    Thanks

    Hi Stephen Zhang

I'm trying to do the same you did, that is migrate from CE6 to 7. However, it doesn't go as smooth as I expected. After changing the sources to fit WEC7, for some reason I get an error message from bscmake.exe which doesn't find files in a temp directory ( which are indeed not there, but I suspect they are in thr_XX where XX changes but there are always .sbr files there )

BSCMAKE: error BK1506 : cannot open file 'C:\Users\WEC7\AppData\Local\Temp\bld_19202\thr_3312\*.sbr': No such file or directory

Did you get the same error? if so, how did you solve it?

    Best regards,

    Shahal

There is a third parting supporting the WLAN driver for WEC7.  They have been notified about the interest in the driver and they should be in touch.

Are you using a "native WIFI" implementation as Windows Embedded Compact 7 requires or are you using a third party supplicant?

We are using native Wifi for our certification tests.

We also support thrid-party supplicants integrations (and Integrity based supplicant with full CCX support, WiFi direct / SoftAP).
