Ethernet connection goes down when copying more than 2GB worth of files to a connected PC.
My embedded application produces a number of 50MB files and stores them on a local 32GB SDHC card. The WinCE SMB server exposes the SD card to the network. When copying these files over the Ethernet connection to a connected PC, the Ethernet network fails after copying 2,000,000,000 bytes. The WinCE platform must be rebooted. When copying from a USB drive, the failure occurred earlier.
Is this a bug or an inherent limit? Is there a workaround?

Nelson
If the failure always happens after this exact amount of exchange data, then it might look like a limitation or bug indeed. To try and isolate the faulty module, could you try doing the same transfer over FTP instead of SMB?
