Dear All,

I am using BSP_WINCE_ARM_A8_02_30_00 version BSP on AM3359 WINCE7 platform. I want use UART device on EVM.

So I enable UART1/UART2/UART3 driver on my wince7 os. DEBUG UART0 work well in eboot and OS .

but in TI EVM, I can not send data /receiver data by uart inerface.

Hi Tony,

Did you check for Pinmux settings.

What are the registry settings that you are using for loading the UART driver?

Try to check UART0 itself in OS from application?

How you are testing UART interface by connecting to Host PC?

Then make sure you are using the same baudrate, databits, stopbits and parity on host and EVM.

A late response, I know, but just putting this in as thoughts for any others coming along.

If this is the AM335X EVM TMDXEVM3358 evaluation board which has a CPLD which multiplexes hardware signals, then it is quite possible the current CPLD selected profile you are using does not route through those UART signals to the external connectors.

To use multiple UARTs we ended up having to obtain the CPLD VHDL code, modify it as desired, rebuild it and program the EVM CPLD in order to to give us a profile that we wanted.
