BQ24193 Charger ICD

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24193

Hi,

I would like to post a Query on TI- BQ24193  Charger IC and also i'm not sure this is the right forum group to discuss the same. If no Please forward my query to concern TI-forum community.

Question:-

1. Charger init is happen in normal boot,  resume from hibernate.

2. BIOS initialize the Charger IC and it is working fine in Normal boot.

3. During Normal boot we are not facing any issue with this IC.

4. When we put the system in to hibernate and resume back. During this time BIOS initialize the charger IC. when we access the charger IC System is getting reset. so system is start as normal boot and it is not a resume from hibernate.

Could you please justify on this.

In the same chipset, if BIOS FW tries to access other IC during resume from hibernate we are not facing the reset issue.

Configuration used:-

We are using the TI-Bq24193 chip on our customer board used.

Here is the configuration used.

1. Intel Baytrail-I Chipset (E38xx series SOC)

2. Windows embedded OS

3. Charger IC connected to I2C controller 1.

4. charger slave address = 0x6B

Let us know if you need more details on this.

Thanks & Regards,

Ramachandran
