WinCE 6.0 R3 WINCE_SDK 01.00.00 for OMAP35x, AM35x, & AM/DM37x Now Available For Customer Download

All,

The WinCE 6.0 R3 WINCE_SDK 01.00.00 release is now available for customer download. This is the first official offering of this product from TI and it includes support for the following EVMs/devices:

  • TMDSEVM3530 (OMAP35x)
  • TMDXEVM3517 (AM35x)
  • TMDXEVM3730 (AM/DM37x)

The following packages are included in this release:

  • BSP_WinCE_ARM_A8 01.00.00: BSP (Board Support Package) source package that contains complete WinCE 6.0 BSP source code for OMAP35x, AM35x, and AM/DM37x devices together with sample OSDesigns, DVSDK binaries and SGX (3D graphics) binaries.
  • BSP Demo package for OMAP35x/DM37x/AM37x - contains pre-compiled WinCE 6.0 kernel that can be executed on OMAP35x and AM/DM37x EVMs
  • BSP Demo package for AM35x - contains pre-compiled WinCE 6.0 kernel that can be executed AM35x EVM.
  • DVSDK_WinCE 1.10.00 package - contains source and binaries of Multimedia framework components that can be executed on OMAP35x and DM37x EVMs. This package allows customers to take advantage of the DSP subsystem that is available in OMAP3530/3525 & DM37x devices to accelerate multimedia applications. The DVSDK includes sources for most components of the TI multimedia stack including some DirectShow filters. These components can be used to write non multimedia applications running on the DSP as well. Please refer to the Getting Started Guide and the Release Notes for more details.
  • Graphics SDK package which contains pre-compiled SGX drivers and complete PowerVR SDK.

Additional information concerning the release can be found on this page, as well as in the Release Notes and User Guide included within release download packages.

As a final note, BSP_WINCE_OMAP35x 06.xx is being discontinued; BSP_WINCE_OMAP35x 06.15.00 is the final release of this product from TI. Any future OMAP35x BSP maintenance from TI, if required, will only be delivered as a follow-on release to BSP_WinCE_ARM_A8 01.00.00.
