Ti-84 differentiation/integration algorithm
How exactely does the Ti-84 calculator, or any calculator for that matter calculate the derivative of a function at a point, I'm assuming it just finds the slope between two point very close to the desired location, but what about cusps, points at which the function is undefined etc. ? Same question, but regarding to integration? Also, does anybody know if there are any different ways that a calculator/program find derivatives and integrals.
Unfortunately this community focuses on TI's semiconductor business, not its calculator business. Please check out education.ti.com for calculator support.
