I followed the Software Install guide but when I get to the section for choosing "Git Clone" I don't see it using WIndows Explorer?

Can anyone help?

Thx

Gerry

    Hi Gerry,

Do you see any of the TortoiseGit menu items when you opposite mouse click on the directory where you are want to create a clone?

If so, is there a chance that you have already cloned a repository to that directory?  If there is a repository in the desired directory, you will have to remove all the files including the hidden .git directory.

    Hi,

I finally get the clone window, now I’m getting another error:

    git.exe clone   --progress -v  "ssh://dlegerr.ext.ti.com:29421/mavrk_qt_tool" "U:\JobTasks\2012JobTasks\Research\MavRK\mavrk_qt_tool"

    Cloning into U:\JobTasks\2012JobTasks\Research\MavRK\mavrk_qt_tool...

fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

Have you looked at this post - http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/mavrk/f/329/t/130180.aspx?  I might have some ideas to help you.

yes, i posted a new remote timeout thread.....i think my port may be blocked?

Why can't I just load a zip file with all the Mavrk example source code somewhere? That would be much easier!

    Gerry

    Hi Gerry,

I'm sorry this is such a pain in the neck. There are times where I run into similar issues, and I know it's not fun.

It's possible your port could be blocked. Thanks for checking with your IS department.

To add to what mavrk_M&M said above, we created a wiki page specifically related to this issue. Can you please review it and see if it illuminates any additional details? http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MAVRK_-_Software_Repository_Issues_Troubleshooting_Guide

Please know that we are working on a MAVRK software suite that will install a copy of the embedded source code on your computer. We're getting really close on that software suite. I'll write back to this post once it's finished, but you'll also see a notification about it in the Latest News section of our main wiki page (http://www.ti.com/mavrk).

Hope we can help you through this,
    Matt
