TPD2S017: is TPD2S017 symmetrical

Hi,

I found out that on an old Board using the TPD2S017 (TPD2S017DBVR) for USB ESD protection, the USB connector is connected to CH2_OUT/ CH1_OUT instead of CH2_IN / CH1_IN.

Is the board still protected?

Hi Salvo,

Examining the internal layout of the device, there is no issue in connecting the input to output, or vise versa. You can see below that the diode connections are the same either way they are connected. I hope this helps out!Very Respectfully,
