TPD1E05U06: insertion loss information and simulation model

Part Number: TPD1E05U06

Hi,

My customer was asking the insertion loss information of TPD1E05U06 for signal integration simulation.

But we found the .S2P file model from the link below has some gap with the actual curve from datasheet datasheet Fig. 8

http://www.ti.com/product/TPD1E05U06/toolssoftware

Could you modify the model or provide the actual insertion loss at the frequencies at 1.35GHz, 2.75GHz and 5.4GHz? Thanks!

Best regards,

Sam Ting

  • Sam,

I will look into changing it, however are you saying that the maximum insertion loss on the .s2p file is not acceptable for each of those regions?

Because the maximum insertion loss of the .s2p file (@10GHz = ~3.7) is greater than your highest frequency of 5.4GHz (~3.5GHz) and ~2dB less than your other two frequencies.

It should also be noted that graph in the data sheet and the .s2p are typical graphs that are not guaranteed by the datasheet.

    Regards,

    Cameron

  • Dear Cameron,

Yes, you can find the loss (dB) from .s2p model at 1.35GHz, 2.75GHz and 5.4GHz are different from the ones in datasheet Fig.8. Thanks for your support!

    From datasheet page 9,

    From .s2p model,

    Best regards,

    Sam Ting
