Recently after installing a windows update on my laptop (Toshiba) my laptop started registering a issue with this controller. In device manager it says that this is a resource issue and I need to free up resources. However, I dont know what to disable/remove in order to free up the resources. Since this was not an issue before the recent update, could their be something in the update that caused this? I am running Vista as an OS.
Can you send a screenshot of the device manager error code and of the Hardware Id?
Here is a screenshot of the information in device manager. As you can see, a couple of conflicts all arose at the same time, though no new hardware has been installed on the system since purchased in 2007.

Windows should have native support for the TI OHCI Host Controller, so no special driver from TI is required.
Try uninstalling the device from device manager and after that reboot your system and click search for new hardware.
I got a same problem as Richard. However these are some differences. System used is XP. we made our own circuit using TSB81BA3 and TSB82AA2 via CPCI on IPC(Industrial Personal Computer). But once we start the IPC, in Device Manager, the IPC finds 32 IEEE 1394 bus host controller. it is quite strange. Meanwhile in Network Adapter, there are several 1394 adapters all prompting that the drivers is unable to use. and we've tried to update them, but failed. Please help me~~~thxs a lot!!!!!!
You do not have the same problem.
There is something wrong with your PCI interface.
What are the bus/device numbers of the 32 controllers?
I thought CPCI interface may be a little different from PCI interface. And each bus controller do not have a special number. There are just 32 same 1394 bus controllers. what's worse, it prompts these are 16 1394 network adapters and all are unable to use. if the 1394 capture card configures correctly, there should be only one 1394 bus controller and one 1394 network adapters, isn't it. So do you have any suggestions? Thx……
The controllers indeed have special numbers, and it's these numbers that are wrong.
