SN65DSI85-Q1: Drive two display panel with different resolution

Part Number: SN65DSI85-Q1

Hi All,

We have a project that has 4 display panel, but SOC just have 3 video pipeline, so customer is considering to expand a panel with SN65DSI85-Q1.

And want to know is it possible to use SN65DSI85 to drive two different display panel with different resolution. Block diagram is as below.

Thanks.

Charles Zhang

  • Hello Charles-Zhang,

To support this application, the DSI85 needs to be configured as Dual DSI Inputs (two streams) to two Single-Link LVDS. Therefore, your SoC should have two MIPI DSI interfaces.

    hello Joel & Charles

Our SOC support two MIPI DSI interfances, but only share the single pipeline. so, can it realize different LVDS out image resolution  by DISI85?

  • In reply to user4458065:

    Hello,
For this application, the processor needs to be able to output two different streams through the dual DSI channel.
