Is there a version of the flash burner utility available that will run on a linux (preferably ubuntu) machine? If so, where/how can I get a copy. Thank you.

Are there any updates as to the availability of the Linux FlashBurn utility?
Thank you.
Hello Clive,
Please follow the next instructions to download the TUSB926x Linux burner. Inside the package you’ll find a “User manual” file that’ll guide you for the software installation.
The ftp pickup directory 'vituthoo' was created on 01/27/2012 11:45:00.
The files from the dropoff area have been moved to the pickup directory and are available for 7 days.
To retrieve the files from the pickup directory:
1. Open an ftp session to ftppickup.ti.com.
ftp ftppickup.ti.com
2. Login with the userid 'pickup'.
Name: pickup
3. Enter the password.
Password: piurh!
4. Change directories to the pickup directory.
ftp> cd /pub/share/vituthoo
Note: If you are using a graphical ftp client, you will not
see the hidden pickup directory name vituthoo appear
in the file list. You will need to use a manual
'Change Directory' or 'CD' command to change into the
dropoff directory.
5. Set the file transfer mode to ascii or binary as necessary.
ftp> bin
6. Transfer the file.
ftp> get <file>
7. End the ftp session.
ftp> quit
The files can also be retrieved with the url:
ftp://pickup@ftppickup.ti.com/pub/share/vituthoo

I am having a problem building the TUSB9260_LinuxDriver - attempts to do so yield a fatal error: "linux/smp_lock.h: No such file or directory". I am building with Ubuntu 11.10. Can anyone steer me as to where/how I can or should deal with this? Thank you.
Also to note from you instructions at the end of section 2.1 where you have the recommended configure command, it would not build. I had to make the line:
./configure --enable-debug --disable-werror -prefix=/usr/local/stow/libhid (adding the --disable-werror command)
Hi Roberto,
it seems that the software has been removed from the pickup drive.
We are also interested for FlashBurner for Linux. Actually, we only need a command line tool for downloading the firmware during production (and less likely for in-the-field upgrades).
We want to use the TUSB9261 in an embedded device where it will be hardwired to a DM3730. So, there is no easy way to use windows to do the update.
Thanks in advance
Jan-Hinnerk
Hello Jan-Hinnerk;
I have uploaded the flash burner to the following ftp site. Inside the package you'll find a "User manual" file that will guide you on the software installation.

Hi Roberto,
Can you confirm that this file is still available from that FTP site? We are working with on of the TUSB9260 devices under Linux, and would like to evaluate the programming options.
Regards,
Andre

Dear Roberto,
it would be very useful for us to get the Linux Flashing Tool.
We are using embedded linux with the TUSB9261 connected to the AM1808 and would like programm the EEPROM during Test of the module.
Could you please activate and add a new ftp link for getting the newest version of the linux flahsing tool.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards
Christoph

Dear Roberto,
Thank you for sharing the Linux burner.
Do you know if the burner has been used on an AM1808 with embedded linux?
We use yocto poky 6.0 (kernel 2.6.37).
Might there occur any problems that we should know about?
Or is this an impossible mission?
Best regards,
Christoph
Hi,
We're using the TUSB9261 chip on an embedded system, using an Cortex-A8 device. As such, the programmer that is supplied won't work (since it's for X86 only). I've had a bit of a go at writing my own version using libusb, but there isn't enough information in the datasheet (sllu125c.pdf) about things such as descriptors, or checksums. Is it possible to get a full protocol spec, or access to the source code for TUSB926x_FlashBurner
Regards,
Andre
Hello Andre,
Here you can find more information about the firmware package that is created for the burning process,

Please let us know if it’s what you are looking for?

Roberto.
Dear Roberto,
it would be very useful for us to get the Linux Flashing Tool.
I would use this tool to port it to a QNX environment and integrate it in a larger flashing process.
Could you please activate and add a new ftp link for getting the newest version of the linux flahsing tool.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards
Alex Dima.

Hi Roberto and thanks!
Actually, I'm involved in a new development in linux with kernel 3.13.0. The problem is that this doesn't work with new kernel versions by his use of deprecated versions of packages or libraries.
Someone knows if there are newer version of FlashBurner for Linux?
Regards,
Vicente
Hi Elias,
The LINUX version of Flashbunner has to be compiled with an old LINUX kernel version that uses obsoleted resources that are no more available in current versions that customer is using. Do you have a more updated version? If not, can you share the source code which will help them to adapt?
Thanks,
MRC

Hi,
I'm interested in source code too, can you send me it please to vicente.monge@sepsa.es? What is the date of the last release?
Thanks.
Do you have a more updated version?
I posted a patch to remove the kernel driver (and thus the kernel version dependency) altogether in another thread.
It would be nice if someone could test it.
