This connection is required to get the proper heat dissipation.

Hi Elias,

Thank you for the info. One quick follow-up question...

Should the pad be electrically connected to gnd? In other words, is the pad floating electrically or is the same potential as pins 7 and 28?

You should solder the pad directly to the PCB, and it can be attached to a special heatsink structure designed into the PCB. It has not internal connection to GND.

Hi team,
Sorry to keep bringing this one back up -- just trying to get full clarification here.

Can/should the exposed thermal pad be connected to digital ground? Could/Should it be left floating? Would things not work correctly one way or the other?

Again, sorry for continuing to loop back around on this. Really appreciate the help here!
