TUSB1310 (USB 3.0 PHY) FA help needed

We are doing Failure analyzes on some of our boards that we use internally. This boards use “tusb1310zay” USB 3.0 PHY chips from TI. We are suspecting that the PHY chips are failing but not sure why.

Is there any way TI can help us with failure analyzes of these chips?

Is there a FAE in oregon or Phoenix?

There are 4 PHY chips on these boards and one of them is failing. The PHY chips that fails is different on different boards. I’m wondering if you guys can help us with what causes the failures.

Thanks,

Omid

  • Hello,

Sure, we can provide failure analysis, please provide the following information:

    Lot codes for failing units.

    Failure rate.

    Test temperature.

    Failure description.

We will need you to ship a couple of failing and passing units from each lot code.

If you don't want to make the above information public you can post your email and I will contact you.

    Regards.

  • Hello,

I don't have the Lo codes for the good or the bad units.

    Failure rate is at %10.

Test Temperature: is the room temperature .

Failure Description: We see no activity coming out of the PHY chip on the USB 3 ports.

I would like to take this private.
