Hi sir
I have one issue on OHCIROM.
Ti device : TSB43AB23 ,
I use Dos boost system and use Ohcirom, command line : ohcirom /p 43ab23.dat
but I have get Error message , could you help chack this issue ?

Hello Alex,
The attached log is not clear, Could you read (ohcirom /L) or validate (ohcirom /b) the actual information on the EEPROM?. Also please confirm that the EEPROM is properly connected to the TSB43AB23 and also that the input file corresponds to the section 6 on the datasheet.
Best regards,
Diego.
Hi Alex,
Additionally to Diego's recommendations of verifying the proper connection and operation of the EEPROM, please verify the EEPROM is not WriteProtected (pin 7 - WP -> correlate this with the EEPROM's datasheet).
Also:
- Please post the input_file (.dat) you are using.
- Please send us the dump file of the current contents of the EEPROM. Run in command line:
ohcirom /d output.dat
And send us the output.dat file.
Best Regards,
Alexis Cortes.
Hi Sir
the file is input and output fild by Ohcirom.EEPROM have connect to TSB43AB23, If not , it will show EEPROM ot found.
Hi Kerr,
As a sanity check, could you try modifying the .dat file you are trying to program and see if it works?
Please modify next lines:
0b #### ;######## * 1394 GUID Lo (0) byte 0 (LSB) of 32-bit chip id lo - auto incremented from serial.dat
0c #### ;######## * 1394 GUID Lo (1) byte 1 of 32-bit chip id lo - auto incremented from serial.dat
0d #### ;######## * 1394 GUID Lo (2) byte 2 of 32-bit chip id lo - auto incremented from serial.dat
0e #### ;######## * 1394 GUID Lo (3) byte 3 (MSB) of 32-bit chip id lo - auto incremented from serial.dat
By adding on the 0xXX field some random values.
I'm attaching a .dat file as an example. You can try program that file and let me know the results (if it is still failing, please remove the '0f' register line an try it again).
Best Regards,
Alexis Cortes.
hi sir
it still fail. If I use 24LC16 to replace 24LV32. The fail will be low. Is there a special request for EEPROM siza and brand
Hello Kerr,
Sorry for the delayed response. After debugging this at our end with one of our EVM's that has the TSB43AB23 we were able to program the EEPROM with no issues. There is no special requirments for the serial EEPROM. FYI, the tests were performed on a EVM that has a an ATMEL 24C02 EEPROM.
We'll review the schematics you posted just to be sure your implementation has done properly.
Best Regards,
Alexis Cortes.
Hi Alexis
Could you have any updata for our schematics , I have post in Jun 05 2014 06:38 AM
We have use ATMEL 24C02 EEPROM , but we have fail issue on this eeprom , The AF24BC16 can be pass .
Hello,
i have reviewed the schematic and have the following comments:
1) It seems like GRST# is connected together with PCI_RST# through the "-RST" label, do not connect GRST# and PCI_RST# together. GRST# must be a power-on reset with a minimum duration of 2ms.
2) Place a pull-down on CNA.
3) Isolate DVDD from AVDD.(see below for reference)
Hi Sir
we still have programming issue , If we use EEPROM writer to programing EEPROM , How did we setting about EEPROM Byte address 0x0F [CheckSum] ?
Hi Sir
Did you have any update for " If we use EEPROM writer to programing EEPROM , How did we setting about EEPROM Byte address 0x0F [CheckSum] ?
