How to calculate the freq of PCLK (pixel clk)

when i test the DVI-FPD Link II-M, the freq of PCLK varies with the resolution.

So what's the relationship between PCLK and resolution?

Is there a formula for me to calculate? Many thanks.

Hi Bill,

Yes, there is a formula.

PCLK = HFL * VFL * RR

HFL = Horizontal Frame Length = Active horizontal video (e.g. 800 pixels) + horizontal blanking

VFL = Vertical Frame Length = Active vertical video (eg. 600 pixels) + vertical blanking

RR= Refresh rate (50, 60, 75Hz...)

You can search over the internet for the standard blanking for each resolution.
