Proper way to disable downstream usb ports single ended zero (SE0)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB2077A

I am using the TUSB2077A chip in a new design and we are not using all the ports.  In the application note SLLA314 from the product webpage, number 11 states :

The differential pair on unused downstream ports must be tied together and pulled down to ground
so that they are in a single-ended zero state.

As I read that i should be doing something like in the attached picture port 6, I worry this would cause a short on the driver. Should it be more like what I did on port 7 in the attached photo?  I looked on the web and some sites say to just pull the differential signals to ground I interpret that as shown on port 5 in the attached photo.  I was also wondering what resistor values to use as the pull downs.  I looked in the USB specification and it was not much help.  Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
