I'm a BIOS Engineer, supporting a Baytrail module that uses the TUSB1211 and we are trying to get it to work in ULPI client mode.

The Intel CRB uses the TUSB1210, and we know that with basically the same Phoenix BIOS that we are using, that ULPI client mode works on the CRB.

So where to start...we are using the Intel Linux test environment, and having no luck...so...starting from the ground floor...what would be the differences between these chips, SW or HW wise, that may be causing us an issue in our design???

We have many additional details of what we've tried so far...but I though I'd just kick things off with the above, to see if there is any known info currently available concerning the TUSB1211 (vs. TUSB1210) in client mode on Baytrail platforms.

Hello Dale,

I've reviewed the schematics and I highly suggest you to increase the capacitance on the pins REG1V5 & REG3V3 to 2.2 µF. This is because these capacitors are for the internal LDOs and may cause an issue on the logic blocks. Once you've changed the capacitors please repeat the test and send the ULPI traces again.

Hi Diego,

Here's the reply that I got from the HW person, concerning to cap changes that you suggested:

You can update Diego that with the suggested capacitor changes also, scope shots and the situation is same as explained in the ULPI_HW_V00.pdf, which I sent couple of days ago
