One HDMI output to drive 4 TFT Displays

HI!

So I'm tackling an ambitious project (at least for my skill level I'd say) for senior design and I'd like all the help I can get.

Essentially, for the project, I have a pretty beefy FPGA ODROID with an HDMI (and DIsplayPort!) output that I want to use to display to 4 independent TFT displays (so far, I'm looking at these and I'd like to know what I need to accomplish this. I've done some research on my own, but I'm not confident that I have a strong grasp on exactly everything I need and I don't want to waste my time running into a dead-end.

At this point, my thoughts are that it would be best to have my FPGA output an image that's 1600x960 large and then this image will be split into quadrants (preferably done by hardware, not software) one for each small display (800x480) to show. Would this be feasible? Or would it just complicate everything further?

Any ideas, hints, guidelines, recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated, and let me know of any info I left out.

Thank you!
