TUSB9261 on a USB Hub - Hot Plugging Other Devices

We are using the TUSB9261 through a USB 2.0 hub, and utilizing it fairly heavily with an embedded Linux host, constantly writing ~10Mbyts/second. When we hotplug/unplug other devices into the hub we are seeing various issues. Is it reasonable to expect the USB hub to be able to handle plugging and unplugging of devices without the TUSB9261 hiccuping?

Hello,

Yes, the Hub is supposed to support the hotplug of some devices without affecting the others.
Look if the hot plug is generating a voltage drop/spike somewhere or if it is causing the other devices to re-enumerate.

Hi Elias,

Please let me ask about hot plug support at TUSB9261 just in case. Can TUSB9261 support hot plug though there is no description in datasheet? I'm asking it because there is the description of "Supports hot plug" in TUSB9261-Q's datasheet.

Yes, per USB spec all of the USB devices must support hot plug. TUSB9261 is not the exception.

Yes, SATA hot plug is supported as well.
