All,

TFP410 is used as VGA output. When the equipment power on in room temp(25c) and warm up to about 60c, there will be secone flicker in the screen. Then it will be ok and no such flicker happen. When it power off and power on again, the same thing happen. We check the circuit and clock, it is ok. We also send the TFP410 for FA test, the report said it it ok for both room temp and high temp status ATE, U/I test. Please give your comments. Or whether there is a TFP410 EVM to test? i can't find the EVM in website.

    Hello,
    Does the flicker occur only when the system is about 60 C ?
    When you power cycle, is the system at 60C ?
    Does this happens if you power cycle at 25 C? I'm trying to find out if it is related to the temperature or to the power-up.
    Does this happen on multiple clock frequencies?

    We don't have EVM for this device.

    Hi,

    This issue only happened when system is at around 60c.

    When power on, system is in room temp, after running for while, the heart from other IC will warm the system and temp up to around 60c.

    When power on at room temp and keep the temp at around 25c to 30c, no issue happen.

     

    We thought it would be clock or PLL issue, but as it only happen for 1 second, we can't capture the corresponding clock wave.

    other informaiton, customer has try the failure part in other PCB board(other project, not same design). The failure kept. So the parts should have some issue or unmatch or marginal performance. While CQE can't find failure during the ATE, U/I test. So is there a board to test it to reproduce this failure?

    Hello,
    If the failure follows the part then it is probably a quality issue, can you send the lot code of the failing units?
    What is the fallout % ?

    Can you share the schematics?
    What package version are they using? we may have a socket to test that one here in the lab.
    Does this happens on multiple clock frequencies and different VDD values?

    Can you describe your issue?

    Please share all the information you have for debug, schematic, scope captures...

    What is the failing rate? 

    Please provide the lot code of the failing units.
