TMDS181: Configuration when Passing HDMI2.0 Compliance Test

Hi,

Could you please share the following configuration that you made TMDS181 pass the HDMI2.0 compliance test ?

- SIG_EN      = High / Low ???
- EQ_SEL      = ??? dB
- PRE_SEL     = ??? dB
- VSadj       = ??? Ω
- TX_TERM_CTL = High / Low / No Connect ???

Hi Kato,

For compliance keep SIG_EN=Low
EQ_SEL, PRE_SEL and Vsadj are application dependant
TX_TERM_CTL is better to keep it NC for automatic terminations selction.

I know that TMDS181 has passed the HDMI2.0 compliance test in a third party inspection organization, so could you please tell me the configuration as reference at that time ?

Hi Kato-san,

The TMDS181EVM is the board certified, it passes with default settings.

However, this doesn't mean customer's application will pass with default settings, it may need tweaking depending on actual application.

Thank you for your information.

I understood as below.

- SIG_EN      = Low (the signal detect circuit disabled)
- EQ_SEL      = NC (adaptive EQ)
- PRE_SEL     = NC (0dB)
- VSadj       = 7.06kΩ
- TX_TERM_CTL = NC (automatically selects the termination impedance)
