SN65DP159: HDMI2.0 test issue

No, we are not using DP159EVM.

The application is a computer MB.

Signal source is the DP source from INTEL Gemini Lake.

We are using Pin Strap Mode, and EQ_SEL=NC, PRE_SEL=NC, SLEW_CTL=L.

Which lane are you probing?

We are probing clock, D0, D1, D2, D3.

But the error message almost occurred on D2 or D3.

If you plug your the DP159 into a display will it display an image? is this just an oscilloscope problem?

Yes, It displayed the images on a monitor very well.

I also think it's the oscilloscope problem. But if the oscilloscope test the other board without DP159, it will not show the error message.

It's very weird. So I want to know if you have any experience?? Or something wrong in customer's testing environment??

I do not have experience with this error. I think the error is with the oscilloscope setting or test setup issue. Are you using high impedance probes or are you 50 Ohm probes?

What is the frequency validation test? What resolution data is being run? Can they zoom in on the data and see what frequency the data is running with regards to the clock?

Dear JMMN and Michael,

The customer is using INTEL Gemini Lake which is the INTEL first one platform can produce HDMI2.0 signal.

But they used AMD platform with DP159 is workable, no any testing issue.

So now they are testing to use INTEL Gemini Lake reference board plus our DP159EVM to see if happen the same issue.

I will response to you if there is any update.
