Hi, In the data-sheet of TUSB9260 it is written in the "recommended operating conditions" that the free-air operating temperature range is 0c to 70c. I'm interested in how TI this range was set - is it just the temperature range in which TI tested the TUSB9260 part (commercial testing...

Temperatures listed in the data sheets are what we will insure that the device will meet the data sheet parameters over. No additional comments or implied statements are intended. The follow-on, TUSB9261, will be characterized and released over the industrial temperature range. It should be releasing...

Hi I have some questions about TUSB9260. 1) Has this chip a firmware loaded on the factory or i must load it by myself to make it work? 2) Will it initialize USB connection if no SATA drive was detected? And what happens if i attach disk later? 3) Where i can find TUSB9260/TUSB9261 Flash...

Roman, 1) FW must be loaded from an attached FLASH. 2) Yes the TUSB926x would enumerate if no drive is connected. What type of drive are you wanting to attach? 3) The Flash Burner Utility is available in the TUSB9260 product folder on ti.com in the Tools & Software Section .

Hi The Flash was SST25VF010A from Microchip Technology. Today I bought AT25FS010N from Atmel, which was recommended in TUSB9260 AppNote. But the problem still not solved. The device has 3 same blocks with TUSB9260 and they all not working. schematic: (Please visit the site to view this file...

Hi, Why are there analog power rails on the TUSB9260/1? Do they power up analog circuitry within the device? Main question is, how critical are the pi filters on the board? what if the rail is just a short trace between the digital and analog power pins? I would assume it's for the...

This is a repost with proper title: Can I use a 25MHz crystal (NOT a crystal oscillator) if FSEL0=3.3V and FSEL1=0? This combination is shown as an example in the Implementation Guide, but Table 3 lists the crystal options as "reserved". Thanks, -Turi

We are attempting to connect a TI9261 to a Ubuntu Linux machine, and we get strange results. It can take up to a minute before the TI device is recognized, but we can not successfully mount an SSD. We get format errors (when the device shows up, which is about 1/2 of the time), we have had it hand/crash...

Travis, Before I answer your question on VID/PID, I'd like to point out that we have a 2nd generation USB-to-SATA bridge, the TUSB9261. While it is not a direct drop in replacement, it does fix errata present in the TUSB9260 as well as removing the requirement for one of the external voltage supplies...

We have a specialized application where we need to use the WinUSB windows driver with the TUSB9260. In order to simplify installation, we would like to install a Microsoft OS Feature Descriptor with a WinUSB "Compatible-ID". It is described in these two links: http://msdnrss.thecoderblogs...
