Hi, I have a application board that needs x1-PCIe-to-PCI32bit translation, I find that XIO2001 is a good choice. The evaluation board for this XIO device application is a downstream PCI, which is different from my application which is the XIO2001 will interface to a mini-PCIe card. The mini...

Akerb, What you are describing is what is called reverse bridging. The XIO2001 (nor its predessors - XIO2000x) do not support reverse bridging.

Claude Not sure if this means anything, but according to intel, the DP55KG has not passed Win7 logo tests: http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboard/windows7.htm We also recently found another problem with the XIO2000A. It has terrible bus master read performance. So, we are...

YJ Chai, The datasheet is correct. The XIO2000AI does NOT support 66Mhz. However, all flavors of the XIO2001 support 66Mhz downstream segments. This includes the XIO2001I. Please use the XIO2001(I) for all new designs. The XIO2000 and 2000A are Not recommended for New Designs and the XIO2001...

Loic, There are no platforms on the market that we are aware of on which the XIO2000A does not function. There was a spate of Intel H55s that came out with problems, but after a BIOS update from Intel, all the problems were gone. We have no insight into what they fixed in this BIOS release.

I have a design that has an ASIC with PCI r2.2 interface. I'm planning to use XIO2001 to interface my uP with PCI express. XIO2001 supports PCI r2.3, just not sure r2.2. I asked Avnet FAE and he has no idea.

Allen, What you describe is what is referred to as a reverse bridge application, where the "host" is PCI and the "target" is PCIe. The XIO2001 can NOT be used as a reverse bridge, it is only a "forward" bridge. Further TI doe snot have any bridges that can be used in...

Dear Elias: 1. What is the real requirement for resistance value between pin 71 & 72. In document you specify to use 14.3K and 232ohm 1% to have 14532ohm. As we know 1% of 14.3K resistance may be 143ohm. And it is over 60% of 232ohm. So it is nonsense for 232ohm 1% requirement. Of course we can...
