Substitute for the tip 147 .

Good morning , I am designing a adjustable power supply 1,2volts 20 volts and 10 amps max current as voltage regulator 'm using lm317kct which has a maximum current of 1.5 amperes would like to put a power step to get 10 amps output in my option was the tip 147, but it is no longer produced by Texas, as always give preference for products Texas would like to know if there is another alternative.

Good morning Ryan , I apologize because I wrote the question in the wrong forum my question was about a replacement for TIP147 , I am looking for a Darlington is that the TEXAS TIP147 to replace this obsolete. This was my first posting and confuse me .

TIP147 is a transistor not a IC made by TI.

Heat will be the biggest concern.
Power = (VIN - VOUT) * IOUT

Ronald Good morning , thank you for your attention, my question is whether Texas has a IC that I can use on an adjustable voltage source 1-20 volts and 10 amperes. Because I always have used as power sources in step TIP 147 and now want to replace this component in my projects .

I want to make sure I understand you correctly.

You already have a power source 1.2V to 25V and you want to regulated that to an adjustable 1V to 20V.
By what means do you want to adjust to output and how can a electronic circuit control the input power source?
