Hello,
My customer search for 1.8V I2C buffer, find the PCA9306.
Can he use the PCA9306 as buffer? (Vref1=Vref2=1.8V)
He doesn't need translate function.

Naoki,
The PCA9306 is a passive translator.
It seems your customer requires an active buffer.
Please evaluate the TCA9517.

Brian
Hi Brian,
Thank you for your fast reply.
I'm sorry, but the TCA9517 doesn't operate 1.8V, especially B port.
How about the TXS0102?

Naoki Aoyama
My apologies, but I did not take into consideration the VCC level on the B-side.
Unfortunately, none of our buffers currently operate down to 1.8V on both sides, although some of them operate down to 1.8V or even 0.9V (TCA9517) or 0.8V (TCA9617A) on the A-side.
The TXS0102 is not an active buffer either, but it does have a one-shot, or a rise-time accelerator, to make the rising edges sharper. But, I repeat, this is not a buffer and will not isolate capacitance when the device is enabled.
Hi Brian,
Thank you for your reply.
I see there is no product.
I was searching for 'open-drain buffer' operate 1.8V. But I could not find out.
I will consider another method.
Thanks.
