TXS0108 connected to TXS0104

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0104E

Hi,

I have a problem with the combination of a TXS0108 and 2 x TXS0104 on an I2C bus.

I have one TXS0108 3V3 to 5V converter on my I2C master and two TXS0104 5V to 3V3 level converters on the I2C slaves. There are more devices on the 5V bus, but I have disconnected them temporary.

I have 10k external pull-up resistors, only the internal resistors on the TXS devices. This means a total pull-up of 1 x 10k external, 2 x 10k (TXS0104) and 1 x 40k (TXS0108) in parallel, which is app. 3k total.

The 0-level is app. 900 mV, which should be OK.

When the master transmits data, the signal is OK.

When the slave sends an ACK, the SDA line starts to oscillate. I have tried adding a series resistor, but I cannot control the oscillation.

Any ideas?

Regards, Mark
