IC functionality query

Hello,

I am using SN74AVC8T245PWR level translator to interface with GSM. i have given 2.8 to VCCA and 3.3 to VCCB,i have connected channel A3 of SN74AVC8T245PWR IC to GSM reset pin and GSM reset pin has internal pull up. After power on the level translator A3 channel voltage level is supposed to be high because of GSM internal pull up but it is driving A3 channel to low.

I have ordered sample IC from TI website and it works fine and voltage at that pin is high but i ordered IC through digikey and those IC's r driving that pin low. Kindly tell us that what is the difference between sample IC and ordered IC,why there is funtionality difference between both?

Hi,

If part number is same, the device will have same function. Could you chang another device and test again?

Hi,

The part number is same only. My hardware worked for sample IC so i ordered 100 IC's from digikey but those IC are not working. I changed with other IC and tested but still its not working. Kindly tell us the solution

Hi,

I checked with both sample and ordered IC. In sample IC default voltage at port A is 2.8V and port B is 0V and DIR i have given to 0V but in ordered IC voltage at port A and port B both are at 0V.

Can you please tell us what is the default votlage at port A and port B when DIR is 0V.?
