LVDS to low voltage - is there a single-chip solution?

I have an application where I need to interface between LVDS and a variable logic level in the range 1.2V-3.3V.  This can of course be done with 2 ICs in each direction but I'm not having any luck finding a single IC solution, which would cut propagation delays and save board space.

Does anyone know of a suitable IC?

  • In your application, is low side voltage  is from 0 (logic low) to 0.9V ( logic high)? Is high side voltage is from 0 (logic low ) to 1.2 or 3.3V (logic high)?

    Fro logic voltage translation, singal voltage range is from 0V to power supply rail.

  • The translation would be from LVDS to standard logic and standard logic to LVDS, with the standard logic having a supply voltage that could be anywhere between 1.2V and 3.3V.  The most likely supply voltage points would be 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V.

    For LVDS signal, the voltage range should be less than 0.8V. Most voltage is from 0 to 0.5V.

    For our translation, the high logic minimum voltage is down to 0.9V. If in your application, signal bit width is 4bit, please try SN74AVC4T234.

    If the high logic minimum voltage is down to 1.2V, please try SN74AVCxxT245 device.

  • The devices you mention are both useful for level translation of single-ended logic, and may end up getting used as part of a 2-IC solution along with a conventional LVDS receiver.

    What I'd been hoping to find is a single-chip solution such as a differential receiver for LVDS with a variable-level single-ended logic output - all the LVDS receivers I've found so far have a fixed 3.3V logic output.

    Could please use LS010X device? This type device is base on transmit switch circuits. They could meet your requirements
