Using SN75114N as a Differential Push-Pull TTL Driver

I just wanted to confirm that to use the SN75114N as a differential push-pull driver that I would tie together YP and YS as well as ZP and ZS and then use Y (the combined YP-YS) and Z (the combined ZP-ZS) as my differential push-pull pair. I am about 99%, but would like to get to 100%. :)

I was not able to find an app note with a diagram for this mode. The datasheet does indicate in the first bullet item that there is a "choice of ... totem-pole outputs."

Dana,

You are correct; connecting P and S together makes the output capable of driving high and low (totem pole).

Thanks. I've never used this part. The totem-poll indication in that first bullet item didn't mention how it was achieved. I usually assume that it is achieved with another pin. Also, errors do get into datasheets, so I wanted to shore up that P and S could, indeed, be shorted to each other as a valid way to create a totem pole.
