a question about external capacitors of MAX3232E

Hi all

The external capacitors C1,C2,C3,C4 are recommended to be 0.1uF by datasheet.

Is there any problem if I use 1uF capacitors ?

It will be fine provided that VCC = 3.3V.

When Vcc=3.3V , which is better? 0.1uF or 1uF ?

Charlie,

0.1uF is how the device is normally used and VCC noise is less. 1uF allows for capacitance reduction with temperature and voltage modulation (capacitor properties).
