DP83865: What PHYTER is best suited for Extending reach of Optical gigabit Ethernet?

I need a reach extender for FO based gigabit Ethernet.  Need an IC or IC set that can connect with an SFP transceiver on each side to receive and repeat Ethernet packets.  I want to concatenate multiple units for a longer transmission reach.

    Hi Bradley,

    The DP83867E can be used with SGMII to connect to an SFP. You would need to have two DP83867 devices connected together through because the MDI side does not support fiber. You would need to have both DP83867 PHYs MDI pins (channel A-D) connected through a transformer.
