Hi all

Would you mind if we ask DP83867IR?

<Question1>
Our customer would like to use following pulse trans.
http://productfinder.pulseeng.com/products/datasheets/JXD1-0015NL.pdf
It seems that the value of turn ration is spec out(1:1@±2%, 100kHz).
So, we will recommend HX5008FNL.

<Question2>
In relation with <Question1>, wihich construction is better about pulse trans?
-HX5008L : Trans -> common mode filter -> Center tap with Bob smith AC termination -> RJ45
-JXD1-0015NL : Trans -> Center tap with Bob smith AC termination -> common mode filter -> RJ45

Hello,

Regarding your question 1, I agree with your recommendation.
For question 2, the differences in electrical paramenter is more dominant than position of Bob Smith termination. So I would say that HX5008 would be a better choice.

Of course, we will persuade that out customer uses the pulse trans whose turn ration is spec in.
If our customer uses spec out one, what kind of failure does it occur?(it is not possible to pass compliance test, wave form is not spec in,,,)
Could you give us your accumption?

Hello Matsumoto-san,

You are correct, failing compliance is the biggest risk. Signal integrity can also be affected leading to data errors or link instability.
