DP83620: IP Address is not set when link is configured in 100Base-FX mode. It works in 100Base-TX mode. Do we need to change the Mii interface or configuration when we switch from TX to FX mode?

Part Number: DP83620

Dear TI,

We have a medical device that has a CPU and uses the DP83620 PHY. When operating in 10/100Base-TX the unit takes an IP address from the system and can establish a link without a problem. If we switch to a fiber link, we can get the physical fiber link operating, the electrical signals are all correct. We can see communication on the FX link and it appears that data is being transferred, however, we cannot read an IP address from the CPU. Is there something we need to change in the Mii interface when we boot strap the PHY to 100Base-fx ?

best regards
