Dear Ladys and Gentleman,
we plan a Network Tap Application with the DP83848I.
The PHY is only connected with its RX+- Ports. TX+- is disconnected.
The PHY should only receive Ethernet Frames with its RX+- PINs.
We use 2 wired RJ45 JACK as input and output Ports.
The 2 Phys should listen on the RX / TX wires.
The Phy is configured as below:
* Auto MDX is OFF 2k2 Pulldown on PIN 41
* Auto Auto-Negotiation is OFF 2k2 Pulldown on PIN 26
* Force Mode to Full duplex 100Mbit
- AN0 = 1 Pullup 2K2 to PIN 28
- AN1 = 1 Pullup 2K2 to PIN 27
Problem Description:
Despite the configuration, the phy still sends pulses to the RX + pins.
How can I get that the phy only receives telegrams?
Are there some Register settings?
