DP83867IS: 10/100/1000 Ethernet Phy chip speed 10M operation

Hi,

Currently, when using auto-negotiation, it is linked with 10Base-T (advertise) equipment, but it is a problem in packet transmission.

TX normally goes out, but RX seems to be broken.

The DP83867IS states that it supports 10Base-Te, not 10Base-T.

It is related to EEE, so it seems that we need to set up something extra to communicate with devices that only support 10Base-T.

Looking at below link, the voltage level seems to be low.

In the document below
10BaseT will transmit with 10BaseT
10Base-Te seems to be transmitting with 10Base-Te.

I suspect that maybe 10Base-Te's RX does not recognize 10Base-T properly.

Can you check it out?

In addition, can you confirm that support for 10Base-Te is also required in the MAC layer?
10Base-Te is EEE function of IEEE8203.3az, it should support something like low power idle.
If there is a function that the MAC needs, we should check the setting on the MAC side.

Hello TS,

When a 10Base-Te device (DUT) is connected to 10Base-T device, the DUT should be able to link up in 10Base-Te mode and transmit packets. Is the customer using SGMII mode? Have they cleared the 10M_SGMII_RATE_ADAPT bit in register 0x16F?
