TPD4E001: Alternative device to preview footprint used in design.

Part Number: TPD4E001

Hi,

We are using the TPD4E001 to protect a ADS1299 inputs. We have received some boards where we have the TPD4E001 but the footprint used is incorrect, since it was taken the one with a grey watermark written preview "DCK2 Package 6-Pin SC70", this was made by mistake since we didn't notice the "preview" watermark. 

To avoid changing the board we are tryting to use another device with similar function with the SC-70 footprint we have and so far the best we have found is the TPD4e1b06.

We would like to know if anybody could recommend us a better alternative.

    I'm sorry that happened to you. However, I believe that package is released because it is on the orderable addendum at the bottom of the datasheet (and on the sample and buy page). I will look into to try and get the datasheet fixed.

    If you still want an alternative:
    TPD4E1B06 (bidirectional)
    TPD4E1U06 (unidirectional)
    TPD4S009

    I can't see what you mention about buy and sample in this datasheet:

    The TPD4S009 doesn't seem to have the package I'm using.

    Please let me know where I can buy the DCK2 version of the TPD4E001 since I can't find it anywhere. In Octopart I only get the TPD4E001DCKR

    I apologize I saw the DCK package not the DCK2 package.

    The TPD4E001DCK package is same package of SC70 as DCK2 just different pinout.
    Did you purchase TPD4E001DCK and are saying that the package will not fit your SC70 footprint?

    Hi,

    That is exactly the problem. I used the information of DCK2 when drawing the pattern for the PCB and now the pinout is incorrectly because I can't buy the DCK2.

    I apologize but that package is no longer on the road map to be released. I will update the datasheet to remove it.

    However, TPD4E1B06 has the same pinout except for VCC which could work for you.

    This will make me redo the board to change the footprint since the TPD4E1B06 is not the same as the TPD4E001.

    Well the only difference is that you have VCC going to an NC pin

    Hi,

    In the board the NC pin of that part will be connected to VCC since it was already designed that way. 

    Do you know if that pin is connected to the device or is just open? I want to avoid problems.

    The NC pin of TPD4E1B06 is not internally connected to the device.  This is also noted in the pin configuration table of the datasheet (pin 6 on DCK).
